Overnight in Kaziranga NP
You embark on a pre-dawn elephant ride. After breakfast at the lodge, you will proceed to the Mishing tribal village and have an opportunity to interact with the locals and experience their daily life. On your way back you will visit the beautiful tea garden and also take a walk in the gardens. Drive back to the hotel for lunch. After lunch, you will proceed for a jeep safari. Kaziranga is a World Heritage site & with a population of well over 1000 rhinoceros is the best place in the world to see these beasts. There are also good populations of tiger, wild elephant, sambar, swamp deer, hog deer, wild pig & many other species.
Overnight in Kaziranga NP
Take an early morning boat ferry on the mighty Bhramputra River. Cross the mighty river Bhramputra by ferry is an unforgettable experience to reach Majuli. It is the world’s largest River Island (886 sq km). You will have an opportunity to explore the local market on your own. Evening you will attend a special cultural program conducted by the locals.
Overnight in Majuli Island
In Majuli you will visit the Auni-Ati, Garmur, Dakhinpat, Samaduri & Uttarkamalabari. You will also visit the Mishing tribal villages, exploring their tradition, custom, and their lifestyle. You will proceed for the Sattras visit where you will have the opportunity to visit the residence of the monks and prayer hall & museum on barefoot.
Overnight in Majuli Island
Take a ferry from Majuli to Pahumara which is approximately 01 Hour and further drive to a picturesque Ziro via Dijoo tea estate which is situated on the Apatani Plateau (in lower Subansiri region) & surrounded by pine-mantled hills all around.
Overnight in Ziro
After breakfast, you will get an opportunity to explore the villages around Ziro to interact with the tribals. Around 5-6 km from your hotel in Hong Village (Apatani Tribe). Besides the homes of the tribals, you see ladies with remarkable tattoos and nose rings. You will see how people work in their fields and others engaged in cloth weaving. Also, visit the emporium. There is a museum which gives you a good idea of their history, culture, and traditions. In the museum, their dresses and jewelry are on display. You get to walk in the midst of their vegetable market before a lunch halt. After lunch, you visit a Handicrafts Centre where you may find a few souvenirs worth taking home as mementos of your sojourn in this remote destination. After your excursion in this tribal village, you drive back to your hotel at Ziro. Later in the evening, you will drive to HARI Village the largest village after Hong Village there will be a special interaction with some tribal members.
Overnight in Ziro
Today morning after breakfast at the hotel, we will proceed to Daporijo with packed lunch. Enroute we will visit Nishi and Hill Miri villages like Ranga, Tamin, and Mori. Arrive Daporijo in the evening it is the district headquarters of Upper Subansiri. Daporijo is a visitor’s delight with its dazzling landscapes & tribal culture. Interaction with people in the village. On your arrival in Daporijo check into your hotel and stroll around the ligu village. Evening enjoy the local cultural and traditional show performed by the villagers.
Overnight in Daporijo
After breakfast, we will drive to Along. En-route visit tribal villages Tapi, Tribin, and Bam, etc. Houses in this village are artistically built on the hill slope without using nails but only of bamboo and cane. Overnight in Along. In the evening you can proceed to visit Dono Poli temple where the people worship the sun & moon. Later on, drive towards Paya village (approx 8 kms). From the main road, you can enjoy a lovely walk over the hanging bridge till you reach the village on hilltop where you have an opportunity to meet and interact with the Adi-Galong tribes.
Overnight in Along
After breakfast drive to Passighat with packed lunch. Passighat is Arunachal’s oldest town & also the district headquarters of East Siang. The turbulent Siang River races across the district heading for the plains, where it is met by the Dihing & Lohit Rivers, & then roars into Assam as the mighty Brahmaputra. On your way, you will also view the confluence of the two rivers syom and siom. Later visit Panging village of Adi-Miyoung tribes. Today you will also visit the last tribal village of Arunachal Pradesh known as Rigging village from where you can have a lovely walk down towards Passighat for 30-40 minutes. Continue drive to Passighat.
Overnight in Pasighat
From Arunachal Pradesh you now enter Assam. Your first drive from Pasighat to a ferry site on the Brahmaputra River & cross the mighty river by ferry, which takes about two hours. This ferry experience with the locals onboard is a stunning experience. After packed lunch drive to Sibsagar – the ancient capital of the Assam & Ahom rulers, who came from Thailand through Northern Myanmar during the 12th century & established the Ahom that ruled a large part of Assam for six centuries. The Rang-Ghar, Tolatol-Ghar & Shiva dual – the tallest Shiva temple in the North East, will be the highlights of your visit to Sibsagar.

After breakfast, you proceed to The Kohima War Cemetery, which was constructed in memory of the officers and men who made the supreme sacrifice during World War II. It is serene, beautifully located and superbly maintained. Roses bloom in season, the grass is always billiard-table smooth and two tall crosses stand at the lowest and highest points of the cemetery overlooking Kohima. Between them, and stretching all the way across this gently rising hill in the center of the town, are stone markers with shinning bronze plaques. Each commemorates the name of a single man who gave his life for freedom. At the base of the upper cross, there is an inscription which says: “Here, around the tennis court of the Deputy Commissioner lie men who fought in the Battle of Kohima in which they and their comrades finally halted the invasion of India by the forces of Japan in April 1944.” Rest of the day at leisure in Kishima (Nagaland Heritage Village).
Overnight in Kohima
Morning visits the Hornbill Festival and later drive 20 kms to Khonoma village. This village was known for its fighting prowess in the past. It is also known for the fallow management of its alder trees which balances nature in the surrounding areas. The beautiful terraces which are carved out of the hill slopes surrounding the village are a sight to behold. The unique variety of soil conditions and elevation of its fields have resulted in about 20 types of rice being grown here. Passing through the traditional carved ceremonial gate, steep stone steps lead you to the highest point in the village. Here, the Naga warriors made their last stand against the British in 1879. A simple white pillar commemorates G.H. Damant, Maj. C.R. Cock, Lt. H.H. Forbes and Sub. Maj. Nurbir Sai who died fighting the Nagas in Khonoma. In order to conserve the Blyth's Tragopna, an endangered pheasant of the State and other wildlife in its natural habitat, Khonoma Nature Conservation and Tragopan Sanctuary (KNCTS) was set up in 1998 by the ecologically conscious people of Khonoma village. Drive to Dimapur.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for flight to Delhi. On arrival, meet assist and transfer to the hotel. Farewell Dinner.
